If life is perfectly beautiful,we may take advantage of everything we have and take them for granted,so that's why we have things(death,grief) to cause us pain to 'remind' us that we have to treasure the people and things we love because we know they can't last forever.
And if there's only pain in life,there won't be anything worth living for,so that's why we have beautiful things(hope,happiness) to encourage us that we will have a better tomorrow even when we are in bad times.
Both beauty and pain are needed together to remind us that we are alive and have to make most of our time and everything around us.
